Shootsolo is a voice-controlled video camera app and AI filming assistant that replaces the crew a solo content creator doesn’t have. Creators prop up their phone, say “Start Recording” and “Stop Recording” to film hands-free, and choose to keep or discard each take, so only the good footage is saved. Version 2.0 adds a built-in teleprompter, virtual studio lights, background blur and green screen, a skin smoothing filter, and portrait and landscape recording in a single take. Shootsolo is free with unlimited recording, works offline, and is available on iOS and Android. It was created by Karim Muhtar, founder of Productra, and launched in July 2025.
